Gail Jongkind was born in London, Ontario where, as a child, she won many prizes for her needlework. Having always had a passion for creativity, Gail expressed it mainly through her original designs in needlework but was introduced to water colours by Kit Cutting and this opened a whole new medium.  Fred Harrison was a further inspiration. This was a springboard for the addition of oil and acrylic techniques to her repertoire. Gail is currently a member of Central Ontario Art Association, Lambeth Art Association and Brush and Palette Club.  Her artwork has been exhibited in many private and public art shows and collections throughout North America and Europe. Gail's vibrant, clear colours reflect her insight and interpretation of the world around her.
