Patti Fisher

I am a London Ontario artist. I belong to the Byron Brush & Palette Club and the Lambeth Art Association. While attending the University of Western Ontario I studied many facets of art history and was particularly drawn to the Impressionists and our own Group of Seven. I have participated in numerous workshops to hone my skills; however I have found instruction from local artists Kit Cutting and Val Bradley to be most valuable.
Watercolour is my true love, though I also enjoy mixed media and pastel. My style varies depending on the subject and or my mood. My current focus is mixed media batiks and linocuts. These two techniques allow me to continue investigating, expanding the use of and playing with watercolour in a very different ways. My broad range of subjects is influenced by my love of everyday things, travel, and the Canadi
an landscape. Painting allows me to explore and develop my creative side, be adventuresome and introspective: at the same time my love of painting allows the opportunity to share with the viewer my unique impressions of our world and those things that appeal and have significance to me.
