Eve Stickland is an Expressionist. Her paintings are her interpretation of the world as she sees it. She attempts to express her "subjective feelings without regard to accepted forms or traditions". She says "I
stylize my work, primarily landscapes & seascapes in complementary colors. Having worked in various mediums, I favor Acrylics, mixed media, and watercolors. Hard edges and organic lines that depict movement are in all my paintings. Sometimes, I try to dazzle the optics by creating quirky lines & shapes that disturb the viewer."
Eve presently belongs to the local Gallery Painting Group and is a member of the Brush & Palette Club, London , Ontario .
Born in Victoria , B.C ., she owes her style to no one. "Painting is my passion," she says.
